A platform with several different user roles quickly arrives at an interface that shows everything to everyone. The first version was exactly that, and each role had to search for its daily work in a menu that was mostly not meant for it.
The interface was rearranged around roles: each role has its own dashboard and menu and sees only the work it is permitted to do. Permissions moved out of the code and into settings.
One design system for the whole platform, with fixed patterns for tables, forms and detail views — so a new page can be built without being designed again.
